What to expect: A spectacular Motorcycle Ride that cross several streams and many high mountain passes in the mighty Himalayas. See the marvelous cold desert of the Himalayas and experience the warmth of Tibetan Buddhism culture that is preserved from centuries.
Weather: In summer the night time temperature on upper Altitudes regions will range between 10 to 3 and in winter it will range between -5 to -35 (Temperature in degree Celsius).

See the marvelous cold desert of the Himalayas and experience the warmth of Tibetan Buddhism culture that is preserved from centuries. Visit some of the beautiful and world renowned Monasteries. Visit some spectacular high altitude lakes and see the unique flora & fauna of the Himalayan ranges.

We will see many historic places in Leh like The Leh Palace and Shey Palace. Many famous monasteries like Thikse Monastery, Hemis Monastery, Shey Monastery, Diskit Monastery, Lamayuru Monastery and many more. We will spend a day on the banks of the spectacular high altitude Pangong Lake and Tsomoriri Lake, both famous for its natural beauty. We will cross few highest mountain passes in this ride like Khardungla and Chang La Passes. Visit beautiful Nubra valley. See the unique moon land in Lamayuru and much more.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive at Leh (3,500 meters / 11,500 feet)

Once you arrive at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport Leh we will pick you and take you to our hotel. We will brief you about our riding plan then you are free and you can roam around Leh. You can consider visiting Leh Palace and Shanti Stupa as these are close by.

Day 2: Local tour.

Today we will pick our bikes and begin our journey. Today we will visit Thikse Monastery, Shey Palace and Monastery, and Hemis Monastery. Once you back to our hotel you can chill out in colorful Leh market.

Day 3: Leh to Nubra Valley (3, 048 meters / 10, 000 feet) via Khardungla Pass (5,359 meters. 17, 582 feet.): 150 KMs.

Today’s ride will be an important ride for us as we will cross Khardungla pass which is consider one of the highest motorable road in the world. We will start early after breakfast and start our ride towards Khardungla Pass. The road is in good condition up to South Pullu check point after that the road is rocky and dirt also sometime little muddy because of melted snow. The road condition is almost same up to North Pullu check pint which is other side of Khardungla Pass. After North Pullu check point the road is in good condition and the view also spectacular.

Day 4: Nubra to Leh.

We will visit Diskit Monastery and its 32 meter statue of Maitreya Buddha, we also ride double hump camel (Bactrian camel) in Nubra valley. We will get back to Leh after a wonderful experience in Nubra valley and cross the Khardungla Pass on the way.

Day 5: Leh to Pangong Lake (4,249 meters / 13, 940 feet): 140 KMs.

Another important riding day as we are riding to beautiful Pangong Lake. We will start early after the breakfast and start ride towards Pangong Lake. today we will cross another high mountain pass Chang La (5,360 meters, 17,585 feet) and reach Pangong Lake.

Day 6: Pangong to Leh.

After a wonderful experience in Pangong Area we will ride back to Leh.

Day 7: Leh to Tsomoriri Lake(4,522 meters / 14,836 feet): 220 KMs.

Today we will ride to Tmomoriri Lake which is another spectacular lake in Ladkhi region. We will ride along side of Indus River most of the time and the road is in good condition only some part of the road is un paved but in good condition. We will cross another small lake called Kyagar which is situated just few kilometers from Tsomoriri Lake after this lake the road is unpaved up to Korzok Village which is situated on the bank of Tsomoriri Lake and our last point of today’s ride.

Day 8: Tsomoriri Lake to Leh.

After spending a night on the bank of great Tsomoriri Lake we will return back to Leh.

Day 9: Leh to Lamayuru (3,510 meters / 11,520 feet) and Back : 216 KMs both sides.

Today we will ride to Lamayuru, the road to Lamayuru is really good as we will ride on Leh Srinagar highway. We will visit Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Alchi Monastery, Lamayuru Monastery. We also see magnificent moon land in Lamayuru. After visiting the spectacular Lamayuru village we will get back to Leh.

Day 10: Departure.

We will drop you at Leh airport and you can back to your city with a wonderful experience from Ladakh.

When is the best time to visit?

Mid June to Mid Oct are the best times to visit.

How is the condition of the motorcycle?

All motorcycles are serviced and kept ready before your arrival. All the motorcycles are less than 3 years old.

Can we upgrade the motorcycle?

Yes, All models of Royal Enfield are available. You will have to pay for the difference at the prevailing rental prices at your time of departure.

Do we get to select our motorcycle?

No, all bikes are assigned by us. We take good care to give the best motorcycle and all our motorcycles are in the same condition.

Is there any security deposit being collected towards bike and what is the policy?

Yes, Rs.5000/- and fully refundable upon return in same condition. If you make any damage to the vehicle then you have to repair it on your own or pay the agreed expenses directly to the service station.

Do you provide riding gears for rent?

No.

What is the cost of the Fuel?

As per the regular price at pumps in Jammu and Kashmir.

Do you carry back up fuel?

Not necessary as enough pumps are there. You can take a back up on your own and in Leh plenty of jars etc are available.

Do you carry enough spare parts?

We provide very basic running spare parts such as brakes, clutch wire, engine oil, lights, chain sockets, etc. Please note you have to pay for these spares if they are consumed. Also note, break pad and clutch wire is replaced 1 time during the ride without any charges.

Can mechanic fix punctures right there?

Yes, he can fix it right there.

Do you carry any fist aid kits?

Yes, we carry a basic first aid kit.

What if a rider is unable to ride any further due to injury, complete vehicle breakdown or any other reason?

If the rider is injured, then we will shift him to a nearest medical post or bring him/her back to Leh. The vehicle will also be arranged to be returned to Leh. Please note both the expenses of bringing the rider and his/her motorcycle has to be borne by the rider.

Are pillion riders allowed, as I will like to bring my friend / partner / spouse?

Yes.
