Overview

Ride on the most beautiful road in the Himalaya and explore some of the unique Himalayan culture and nature! Join us for Mustang Valley and Muktinath Motorcycle Ride!

Arrive at Kathmandu meet our representative collect your permit and then you are free to roam around Kathmandu. Next day morning we will start our ride to Pokhara which is famous its pristine lake with reflection of snow capped mountains. Once we will start from Kathmandu we will continue with Prithiv highway along side of Trishuli River and this road is very spectacular as its go through high mountains. You can see Manakamana Temple rope way from the road (which is the biggest rope way in Asia).

We will take a right turn from a place called Mugling which is close to Manakamana temple then continue towards Lake town Pokhara, this part of the ride is not much mountain road but goes through very scenic Nepali villages from this road you will get your first chance to see several snow capped mountains.

Once we will start our ride from Pokhara then you will feel you are in true Himalayan zone, you can see one of the best view Annapurna Himalaya. Once you will ride some distance you will reach on mountain road and the view from here is really spectacular, you can see snow capped Machapuchare Mountain and entire Pokhara Town from here. This beautiful mountain road takes you to a small mountain village called Beni, Beni is a small town situated on the bank of Kaligandaki River. Once we reach Beni we will continence our ride towards Tato Pani(means Hot Water) and once we start from Beni we can see the very first glimps of true Himalayan road. The road goes alongside of mighty Kaligandaki River and very spectacular, you can see lot of waterfalls on the way. Once you reach Tato Pani you can relax in a hot water pool as this place is famous for its natural hot water pool.

Next day we will start towards Jomsom and you will confront with best scenic view of your lifetime, once you start from Tato Pani you can see a huge waterfall on your left hand side the amount of water coming down from this waterfall is sufficient for a small river. Then you will reach Ghasa bust stop from here you can see lot of thick pine forests and feels a different zone, then you will arrive at Ghasa village which is a spectacular village on the bank of Kaligandaki river and here the same river is really very wide.

After Ghasa village the road goes lots of up and down and slowly you can feel the Buddhist culture, once you reach Marpha (which is called apple capital of Nepal) you can see a beautiful Buddhist monastery. Before reaching Marpha you can feel the thick pine forest becomes thinner and mountains are become tree less, once you reach Jomsom you can see all the mountains are treeless and you find yourself in a cold desert. Jomsom is the major town in this area with a tiny Airport, almost from the entire place in Jomsom the view is spectacular, and you can see mighty Annapurna Zone Mountains from your hotel window.

Next day we will start from Jomsom and ride towards Muktinath which is a holy place for Buddhists and Hindus and this is the most spectacular journey of your lifetime. You will cross a many old Tibetan Buddhist village like Kagbeni, Eklaibatti and Jharkot which will take you to a completely different world, the architect of these villages is different what you saw in your life. Once you reach Muktinath you can go to Muktinath temple and explorer the surroundings which are extremely spectacular. Next day we will back to Beni and take rest then ride back to Pokhara and take rest on the bank of beautiful Phewa Lake and return back to Kathmandu.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu.

Meet our representative and get the permit done and after that you are free to roam around Kathmandu. Visit Pashupatinath, Soyambhu nath, Durbar Marg etc. Overnight stay at Kathmandu.

Day 02: Kathmandu to Pokhara (205 KM).

Enjoy your first day of ride along side of the Trishuli River with lot up hairpin bends. This route is very scenic as most of the road goes through high mountains. Riding will be very pleasant as this is one of the major highways in Nepal and road condition is really good up to Pokhara. Once you arrive in Pokhara, you can enjoy your day at Lake Side as our hotel is very close to the Lake. You can try paragliding if you reach early.

Day 03: Pokhara to Tatopani (110 KM).

Today’s ride will be very scenic once we left Pokhara; the road between Pokhara to Beni is really good and provides very good views. You can see Machhapuchhre mountain and other Annapurna region mountains once you start from Pokhara. You can see a lot of waterfalls on the way and the road along side of river is really spectacular. After Beni the road becomes a kind of off road and gives you the first glimpse of true Himalayan road. This road goes along side of Kaligandaki River up To Muktinath and you can see how mighty this river is in this area. Beni to Tatopani is 25KM and the view is really spectacular. Tatopani means hot-springs, so soak yourself in the hot water and enjoy your stay at the hotel.

Day 04:Tatopani to Jomsom (60 KM).

Today’s ride will tell you how the nature changes in high altitude and you will confront with Sub Tropical forest to Alpine forests and finally enter to Arctic zone. You will start with green lush Beautiful forest finish the ride in completely treeless cold desert. The majestic view of Annapurna Zone Mountains from the road is immensely beautiful. Once you arrive at Jomsom, you feel you are in between a beautiful cold desert with lots of gray color mountains. Jomsom is the major town in this area and has an airport. You can enjoy your day here as most of the facilities are available here.

Day 05: Jomsom to Muktinath (25 KM).

This is the most beautiful riding day in our entire trip. You will ride on a road which sometimes goes through the Kaligandaki River and the surroundings are simply out of the world. Every mountain here is gray color and looks stunning. The snow capped mountains look amazing and the best part is the ancient Tibetan Buddhist villages like Kagbeni, Eklaibatti and Jharkot that takes you to a different age. Once you arrive at Muktinath, you can visit the famous Muktinath Temple which is a prominent temple for both Buddhists and Hindus. We will stay overnight at a hotel in Muktinath.

Day 06: Muktinath to Beni (110 KM).

Today we will ride down from Muktinath to Beni on the same scenic road with beautiful surroundings; it will take 6-7 hours as most of the time is downhill riding.

Day 07: Beni to Kathmandu (285 KM).

Ride from Beni to Kathmandu on the Tar road. After Pokhara you will get the highway and enjoy a pleasant ride along side Trishuli River up To Kathmandu.

Day 08: Departure.

Checkout the hotel by 12 PM and we will drop you at Kathmandu International Airport.

FAQs

How do I get my bike?

You can transport your bike till Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, India and drive to Kathmandu from there.

Which bike are you providing? Do I have a choice?

We are giving 150 CC pulsar or similar bike. If you wish you can take any other bike from our list by paying the additional fees.

Do you have accident relief care insurance coverage?

No. But we can help you get one policy for you if you will like to have one. This is an optional one and riders can avail it by paying the additional charges for the same.

What about Bike permits in Nepal?

You need to done your bike permit at the border which is chargeable day wise. If you are taking bike from us then we will make all the permits.

What if my bike breaks down?

No worries, we will hope that the mechanic and spare part s may fix your bike. If not, you can put your bike on the back up truck.

When does the trip begin?

The trip begins on a night stay in Kathmandu. Which is the first day and reporting time is noon.

Can I get a pillion?

Yes you can.

What will be the weather?

In Kathmandu it will be pleasant, in Pokhara the maximum day time temperature will be 32 degree and night time will be around 22 degree Celsius. Beni onward climates gets colder, after Marpha the temperature goes further down and the average day time temperature will be 15 degree Celsius and night time temperature may go up to minus 4 degree Celsius.

What will be riding and road condition?

The distance between Kathmandu and Pokhara will be on regular highways with mountainous roads. Pokhara to Beni will be nice tar road amidst green mountains. Beni to Jomsom and Muktinath will be High Mountain off roads.

What about rider’s safety?

The safety of the rider is in his own hands. Please ensure you are not engaging in any rash riding and following the lead rider and the riding plans. We have all necessary spares to fix a bike. In case of complete breakdown that cannot be repaired the vehicle will be loaded on the Backup Truck.

Can I get fuel all the way?

Yes.

Charging of mobile phones, camera etc?

Yes throughout.

Do the local support staffs speak English and Hindi?

Yes.

What kind of accommodation available in riding route?

In Kathmandu and Pokhara we provide standard hotels. In the remote area of riding the hotels will be basic hotels. All accommodation is on twin share basis.

Food options?

Our food will have mix of vegetarian and non vegetarians.
