What about food, alcohol and any other entertainment in the region of Everest Base Camp trek

When it comes to food, you will find a lot of options in this region across all destinations during your trek. But it is a different thing that all food taste same across the region.

No doubt there are several good options available for quality food & alcohol in Lukla and Namche Bazaar. Over here you can find several pubs where you can enjoy your favorite beer and other drinks. Some of them also make a variety of cocktails which tastes good. You can find many bars named reggae bars in this area with a Bob Marley photo in their signboard. You can also find several pool bars in Lukla and Namche Bazaar. You must try Raksi or Rakshi in this zone which is a local liquor. Raksi/Rakshi is usually made from millet or rice, different grains produce different flavors. It is a nice smooth drink available throughout Nepal but people in high altitude areas serves it hot, Rakshi/Rakshi ranked 41 in the CNN’s list of world’s 50 delicious drinks. Raksi /Rakshi tastes great and is one of the finest country liquor that I have ever tasted.

You will also find several coffee shops in Lukla and Namche where they serve good quality coffee drinks. You will find many bakeries in Namche and Lukla. There is one good bakery available at Kyangjuma on the way to Tengboche.
