Spiti Valley Jeep Tour

Spiti Valley Jeep Tour

Traveling is a bliss of an experience and all my travel expeditions have rewarded me with invigorating memories all my life. Though in the eventful years of my life I have traveled to many exciting destinations some places have amazed me to a whole new extent. My journey to the undulating Spiti Valley Jeep Tour was one of them. Spiti is a highly sought after destination and is fancied by a lot of enthusiastic travelers owing to the supreme landscape and the amazing views all around. Rudyard Kipling stated Spiti to be the dwell of Gods and the picturesque beauty of the surrounding justifies well to the statement. From deep gorges to the turquoise blue Spiti River to the majestic snow-capped peaks in the background and the rugged landscape, Spiti was truly a memorable experience for me.

I decided to get the best out of this incredible place by taking Spiti Valley jeep tour and I was extremely blessed with some highly enticing views throughout the journey. It was truly a traveler’s paradise and along the way, I witnessed the traditional whitewashed homes of the small beautiful villages nestling in the Highlands. I even got a chance to explore the very old and famous monasteries of the region adding to the beauty of the place..

From the very beginning of the journey, my spirits were roaring for a pukka Spiti valley experience and trust me I was not let down with my anticipations on any single day. My first ride was from Manali to Kaza Village and it was a heavenly experience. Along the way, I witnessed the extremely enchanting Rohtang Pass and was soon welcomed by the brown landscape of Chattur and Batal. From there my drive resumed to Kunzum Pass followed by a journey to Losar Village, the entrance to Spiti
Valley. The final part of the drive to Kaza traversed through the striking beauty of Spiti Valley to Kaza Village.

The next couple of days were planned to explore the Spiti Valley at it’s very best. My jeep was ready to leave Kaza and travel to the most famous spots in here. Komik Village was my first stop, and it was a different experience. One of the highest villages in the world, Komik had only 84 people living their life in extreme isolation. I visited Hikkim, which is the highest post office in the whole world, and from there the road took me to Langza Village. This village was also very sparsely populated with only 33 houses. After visiting the Lang Temple in Langzang Village, I started for my final visit to the captivating Key Monastery. The setting of the monastery was astonishing and the landscape surrounding the monastery was a treat to the eyes. I also visited the famed Kibber Village and Gette Village and finally ending the day back in Kaza Village.

On my next day’s drive, I visited a few other famous spots starting with the thrilling Pin Valley. The rich flora and fauna of the region were a delightful sight. Further, I visited the Kungri Monastery followed by Mudh Village and finally was back in Kaza Village to end the day.

A new destination was waiting, Lhalung Village. The first stop was the very old and famous Tabo Monastery and I was extremely bewildered to explore the monastery. From there I resumed on the ride to yet another beautiful village, Dhankar Village where I also visited the Dhankar Gompa. The alluring sights of the twin peaks, Mane Rang was mesmerizing. The day finally came to a halt at Lhalung Village, in the laps of Tangmar Mountains where the famous Lhalung Monastery stands. It was an exciting day today.

My final day of the journey was here and today I was traveling to the extremely beautiful Chandra Tal Lake. The sight of the Chandra Bhaga Mountain from the lake was fascinating and cherishing. At night sitting beside the lake, I had the best stargazing experience.

From the there my drive took me back to Manali, finally concluding this thrilling experience. It was a life changing experience for me and I collected some astounding memories that will be there in my heart forever.
