Gangotri Badrinath Trek
Adventure trekking has always been my passion and each time I trekked my way to a popular trekking spot, I was overwhelmed by the stupendous locations and the vivid landscapes. Away from the chaotic city life into the laps of nature, trekking is an ideal way of offering a unique dimension to your life. My journeys have helped me change the outlook towards life, cleansed and revitalized my soul from within, and have never failed to surprise me with uncountable happiness.
All my trekking adventures have been overwhelmingly beautiful and one I covered in the recent past, the Gangotri Badrinath Trek was extremely appealing. Untouched valleys, majestic mountains, gushing rivers, alluring landscape, and a thrilling trail, this journey was perfectly combined with all I could have wished for. I got to witness the Gangotri Glacier Snout, the source of the Ganga River and it was one of the finest experiences of my life. The walk through the popular towns and pilgrimage spots gave me a chance to indulge in spiritual activities and once I was in Badrinath, the beguiling beauty of the town raised my spirits high. The Gangotri Badrinath Trek gives you an unmatched experience through the raw elegance of nature, the journey rewarded me with inexhaustible memories to carry back home.
I was extremely excited about the Gangotri Badrinath Trek and once I started with the ride, I knew a lot of surprises are waiting for me along the route. The first day of the journey I was Haridwar, and the place is unimaginably beautiful. The Ganga River, the temples and ashrams, and above all the evening aarti, I had a bliss exploring the town. The next day was a ride planned to Barkot and once I was en route to the location, I could not stop staring at the vivid landscapes outside. Starting from the incredible Mussoorie Hill Station to the cascading Kempty Falls, the path was beautifully lined with fascinating sights.
Though this trail is completely experimental and many people have completed the journey through other destinations but I had a gut feeling that my planned itineraries will help me extract the very best out of the walk. Next day I was scheduled to begin a 100 km journey to the famed Uttarkashi Town, famous for the temples and ashramas. Along the way, I witnessed the bewildering sights of the Harshil Valley and it was a paradise. The following day I decided to go on with the exploration of Gangotri Town and now I am really glad that I did go to visit Gangotri. It was postcard perfect, picturesque in all aspects and the incredible setting of the town was just flawless. I decided to sleep early as the next day, a walk to Gaumukh was awaiting.
My journey to Gaumukh was filled with loads of thrilling walk and adventures along the way and once I was in Gaumukh, the Gangotri Glacier Snout, I was totally bewildered at the sight. It was enchanting and extremely beautiful. The total artistic setting of the place was truly magnificent.
Each day of my walk was highly enjoyable and every day the trail offered me with a new and unique surprise. Over the next couple of days, I visited and walked through some other popular spots like Rudraprayag, Kedarnath, and Pipalkoti. Each of these places rewarded me with the most striking brilliance of nature and the enthralling surroundings of these places were remarkable. In Kedarnath, I paid a visit to the famous Kedarnath temple and thoroughly enjoyed the religious practices and rituals. It was a chance to rejuvenate my soul from deep inside.
The final destination in my trek was Badrinath and once I managed to get there I was dumbfounded to gaze at the amazing beauty of the place. The gushing Alakananda River, the grandeur of the twin peaks Nar and Narayana, and the mighty presence of the Neelkanth Peak in between was a sight to cherish. My visit to the Badrinath Temple was quite tempting and I had loads of fun exploring the busy streets.
The very final stop in my trail was Rishikesh where I spent an extra day to explore the religious rich town and participate in the adventure sporting options. It was a perfect end to my journey.
This was one of the very best trails of my life and each and every sight was delightful, each day was extremely enjoyable, and each destination offered me with a unique and ecstatic experience.
