Located on the eastern side of the famous Rohtang pass, the Bhrigu lake trek is a short trek of around 4 days to an elevation of 14,000 feet. The walk runs on an easy trail but offers the most breathtaking natural extravaganza with snow-capped mountains, rich dense forests and lush green meadows and the incredible views of the Bhrigu Lake.

Day 1: Manali to Gulaba Meadows Camp 10,370 ft (3,161 m)

The journey begins with your arrival in the beautiful Manali, quite popular among the tourists for its unmatched natural beauty and serene lake. During the journey to Gulaba meadows camp breaks into a drive in the first half to Gulaba and then from there trekking to the Gulaba Meadows Camp. Before starting on the drive, you can explore the beautiful and mesmerizing Manali, the Manali mall road, Hadimba Devi temple, and as well the Tibetan Monastery. The drive to the picturesque beautiful Gulaba takes around 2 hours from Manali and you will be amazed at the compelling sights of the snow-capped mountains along the mountain road. From Gulaba the actual walking journey starts and the walk to the Meadows camp take around an hour to complete. Enjoy the walk as you admire the vivid landscapes and the incredible mountain vistas in the backdrop. The trek gives an insight into the lifestyle of the locals of the Gulaba Village. As you reach the meadows camp, prepare to spend the night stargazing and sleeping.

Day 2: Gulaba Meadows Camp 10,370 ft (3,161 m) to Rola Kholi 12,566 ft (3,830 m)

Today the destination you will be heading out for is Rora Kholi and the elevation is 12,566 feet. The 7 km walk you will be experiencing today will not take more than 4 hours to complete. The journey starts with compelling views of the Mt. Hanuman Tibba towering over the path as you walk further up to the Kolang Nallah which you will have to cross over a wooden bridge. As you walk halfway into the trail, you will ascend up to a ridge that will offer sumptuous views of the Manali and Solang Valley. The walk further runs on an easy trail as you walk for another couple of hours to reach the amazing Rora Kholi. Considered as the most beautiful and mesmerizing stop during the whole journey, Rora Kholi is serene and offers really cool breeze all the time. Enjoy the panoramic mountain vista all around you as you check in to stay overnight here.

Day 3: Rola Kholi 12,566 ft (3,830 m) to Pandu Ropa 12,565 ft (3,830 m) via Bhrigu Lake 14,009 ft (4,270 m).

The journey today takes you to the primary destination you have set out for, the beautiful Bhrigu Lake. Traveling up to an elevation of 14,009 feet and then dropping back to Pandu Ropa at 12,500 feet takes up around 6 hours in total. It is very important to start the day early after breakfast and head out for the incredible journey. The walk starts on the trail to the first ridge and as you continue walking you will be amazed at the change in landscape as it changes from green to white. After walking around an hour you will reach a bewildering oval-shaped lake surrounded by snow or beautiful flowers depending on the season. Alongside the incredible glacial lake, you will also get to witness panoramic views of the Hanuman Tibba, Pirpanjal, Dhauladhar, Deo Tibba, and Indrasen. Enjoy the admiring views and start descending on the trail to reach your destination, Pandu Ropa. Enjoy the walk on the incredible grand meadows as you finally reach Pandu Ropa after a couple of hours. Explore the beautiful meadows and the region around Pandu Ropa and spend the night here.

Day 4: Pandu Ropa to Vashist to Manali.

Today, you will be traveling back to Manali via Vashist. The journey to the incredible Bhrigu Lake must have been fantastic for you, and so will its conclusion. Vashist is located at an elevation of 6,900 feet and is quite famous owing to the beautiful temples, incredible landscapes, and most importantly the hot springs in the region. The steep descent turns out to be challenging enough but the bewildering mountains views and the trail through the apple orchards and vast rice fields compensate well for the rough walk. As you reach the Vashist village, spend some time exploring the beauty of the village, the people, the temples, and the raw beauty of nature in the backdrop. From Vashist you will be enjoying a drive back to Manali which takes around 30 min. Spend the rest of the day exploring the evergreen Manali and spend a quaint final night in Manali.
