Itinerary

Day 1: Haridwar

Haridwar is a great pilgrimage site for the people of India. Set along the banks of river Ganges, Haridwar is famous for the aesthetic values it holds. Loads of temples and the famous evening “Aarti” dedicated to the Ganges river.

Haridwar is rich in culture and heritage and owing to the religious practices in the region Haridwar experiences a lot of tourists around the year from all parts of the country. The journey starts with your arrival in Haridwar on the first day. Spend the day exploring the nearby temples and streets of the region and sink in the rich cultural and religious practices of the people. You can also spend the day sitting on the banks of the serene Ganges. Stay overnight in Haridwar.

Day 2: Haridwar to Sari

The first destination in the journey is Sari which you will have to travel by road. From Haridwar, it takes around eight hours in total through a comfortable well-maintained road. As you start the journey towards Sari, the road will take you to the popular destinations of Rishikesh and Devprayag. Enjoy the comfortable ride to Sari and stay the night there.

Day 3: Sari to Deoriatal

The next destination en route to the primary destination is Deoriatal. Today you will mark the beginning of the trekking journey as you will have to walk your way up to Deoriatal. The trail runs along the beautifully flowing Ganges and Alokananda and you will get to witness the raw beauty of nature all along the trek.

The journey will also present you with an admirable view of the all-around surrounding reflected on a beautiful lake. The view is really amazing and you will definitely enjoy this incredible picturesque beauty of nature. Walk your way to Deoriatal and spend the night here.

Day 4: Deoriatal to Chopta

The trail today is long of around 14 km and takes up around 8 hours to complete the walk to Chopta via Rohini Bugyal. Start the day early after breakfast and walk on the ascending trail to be welcomed by the sweet fragrance of the forests of the region.

The Oak trees and Pine trees constitute a huge part of the total vegetation of the region. The surrounding views are incredibly enjoyable and the snow-white hills and snowy vistas in the backdrop lift up your soul by injecting a great amount of adrenaline rush. Explore the rich flora and fauna of the region and if the luck favors you-you can also get a glimpse of the beautiful Monal bird. Walk on the ascending trail to reach Chopta and spend the night here.

Day 5: Rest

The last couple of days you have enjoyed a great walk in the thrilling meadows with the compelling views of the majestic Himalayas in the backdrop. Today you will be resting the day in Chopta. The rest day can also be called as the exploration day as you will be spending the time exploring the region around Chopta. Walk up to the famous spots in the vicinity and engage in exploring the lifestyle of the locals. Take an insight into the rich cultures of the people here and spend a quaint night in Chopta.

Day 6: Chopta to Tughnath - Chandrashila Top and back to Chopta

Today you will be engaged in the most exciting trail of the whole journey. The walk to Tughnath and Chadrashilla Top and back to Chopla takes around 7 hours in total. As you walk through the amazing landscapes to reach Tughnath, you will be amazed at the views from there.

The Tughnath is a holy temple that holds a great amount of religious value among the travelers. Enjoy the panoramic beauty of the surrounding peaks like Kedar, Chaukambha, and Bandarpooch. Explore the rich flora and fauna of the region and you can also witness some very rare species of birds and eagles from up here. After exploring the region around Tughnath, retrace your steps back on a stone path all the way down to Chopta. Stay the last night in Chopta.

Day 7: Back to Haridwar

This day marks the successful completion of the beautiful trekking journey you have just experienced. Today you will be traveling back to Haridwar on wheels. Enjoy your final journey to Haridwar. Explore the region and spend the night here.
