Day 1: Manali to Rudranath Campsite through Barshani Village
The journey begins as you arrive in the beautiful hill station of Manali. Manali is quite famous among the tourists for its picturesque beautiful surroundings and serene ambiance. As you reach Manali start the journey towards Barshani village by a drive.Barsheni village is well crafted and surrounded by thick Pine forests and from the village, you start your trekking journey towards Rudranath Campsite. The campsite is calm and serene and you will have an incredible time gauging the raw beauty of the surrounding. Stay overnight at Rudranath campsite.
Day 2: Rudranath Campsite to Khirganga
The walk today to Khirganga is quite a long journey but the beauty of the surroundings along the trail compensates for the tiring walk. Start walking on the trail to cross a bridge and witness the Parvati River. A great way to witness the grandeur of the enormous landscape, the Pin Parvati Pass trek is a different excitement on its own.Follow the trail to walk into a thick forest and you will have to walk on an ascending trail from here. The journey through the deep forest for about 30 min and then another 15 min leads you to Khirganga where you will be staying the night.
Day 3: Khirganga to Tunda Bhuj
The journey begins with a steady climb for about 20 min to cross a stream and view a temporary bridge on the mountainside. Follow the trail for another 30 min to exit the forest area and engage in a climb to the hilltop. From the hilltop, the vast and compelling views of the Parvati valley is a treat to the eyes. The final overpass leads you to Tunda Bhuj located at 10,500 feet above sea level. Along the trail to Tunda Bhuj you will get to hear sweet chirps of the beautiful birds and as you reach Tunda Bhuj, the incredible views of the distant snow-capped mountains really inject a great amount of happiness. Prepare to stay the night here.
Day 4: Tunda Bhuj to Thakur Kaun
The day begins with a walk on the descending trail to Thakur Kaun. Through the mixed jungle, beautiful flowers, rich flora, and green island you will reach a pasture land. The bridge that falls on the way covers a huge distance and takes quite an amount of time to cross. The latter part of the walk constitutes an ascending walk to cross the Pandu bridge and reach the huge Parvati valley. Walk further on the trail to reach Thakur Kaun. Stay the night at an elevation of 11,000 feet at Thakur Kaun.
Day 5: Thakur Kaun to Mantalai Lake
The day starts late after a much-needed rest and today you will walk till Mantalai at 13,400 feet elevation. As you begin with the walk, you will cross a few streams to witness the beautiful Parvati River yet again. The path from here becomes a bit difficult on boulder rocks and glaciers as you finally witness the high peak at Mantalai Lake. Surrounded by snow and tiny green grasses, the Lake is very beautifully crafted and makes an amazing option to spend the night.
Day 6: Rest day
You have been engaged in a long walk for 5 days now, and the high altitude requires you to acclimatize as well. You can choose to spend the day exploring the picturesque beauty of the region and get indulged in what nature delivers best. The rich flora of the region contributes mostly to the popularity of the place and as you spend the day exploring the area, you will be amazed at the incredible views from here. Stay tonight in Mantalai.
Day 7: Mantalai Lake to Parvati side Base camp
The walk to base camp at 14,850 feet takes a total of around 7 hours to complete. The walk runs over high rocks and glaciers and the long walk through this tough terrain takes a huge toll on your body. After walking on the tiresome trail for a few hours, you will reach the beautiful base Parvati side Camp area. Surrounded by lush green meadows on all sides, the base camp is a really amazing place to be in. Enjoy the incredible beauty of the surrounding area and stay the night here.
Day 8: Parvati side Base camp to Pin valley side Basecamp over Pin Parvati pass
The Pin Parvati Pass is located at an elevation of 17,500 feet and the thrilling walk today will take you to the top of the pass. Follow the trail for around 3 hours to reach the top of the pass after walking through the amazing Spiti Valley. Spend some time appreciating the bewildering views of the vivid landscape of the Pin Parvati Valley from the top of the pass. After spending some time on the pass, start climbing down on the trail through the ice fields, rocks, and stones to cross a dense forest before reaching the Pin side camp. Enjoy the enthralling views of the Kulu Makalu and Dibibokri from the campsite and stay the night here.
Day 9: Pin valley side Base camp to Wichkurung Thatch
The journey to Wichkurung Thatch marks towards the completion of the adventurous trekking journey. The trail runs through the beautiful and rich flora of the region and astonishing views along the walk is equally enchanting. Walk on the trail to reach a peak which traces directly to Rampur pass to finally reach Wichkurung Thatch, stay overnight here.
Day 10: Wichkurung Thatch to Kaza via Mud
The first half of the journey is towards Mud village and from there to Kaza. The hefty rocks along the path make it a difficult path to walk on. The walk continues for around 6 hours delivering the picturesque beauty of Spiti Valley as you reach Mud village. From here you will continue the rest of the journey on a drive to Kaza. The astonishing beauty of the Spiti Valley will accompany you till you reach Kaza. Enjoy the night In Kaza village, beautifully surrounded by high rocks.
Day 11: Kaza to Manali
The adventurous and thrilling journey comes to an end as you finally head towards Manali on the last day of the journey. Enjoy the mesmerizing beauty of the green pasture lands as you travel the road as you engage in the long drive of 9 hours to Manali. In Manali, you can do some local sightseeing and spend a quaint evening relaxing and strolling along the beautiful streets. Stay the final night in Manali. The journey satisfies your craving for adventure and thrill, and the Himalayas have more exciting and thrilling trekking destinations to choose from.
Day 11: Departure
If time permits, you can take a detour and visit the famous tourist spots in Manali and then fly back home.
