While there is an innumerable number of destinations that are ideal for trekking and quenching the thirst for adventure, there are some trekking zones through really incredible trails that give a lasting impression. The beauty of any trekking journey lies in the rewarding views, but it is not always limited to incredible sights of the mountains. Some journeys are just based on the super exciting trail and the Talle Valley Trek is a supreme example of one such journey.
The trail is highly enticing and passes through a number of striking places. The Ziro Valley that comes first in the itinerary is the land of the ancient tribe, Apatani. The rich culture and traditions of the tribe are extremely enjoyable; their annual festival attracts a lot of enthusiastic music lovers from around the world.
The Talle Valley Trek takes you through three striking valleys of the region, the Talle Vally, the Ziro Valley, and the Pangey Valley, offering captivating views of the surrounding green mountains, and the journey through the Talle River and Pangey River is thrilling.
The final bit of the journey takes you through the Talle Valley Wildlife Sanctuary offering glimpses of the rich flora and fauna of the region. The beauty of the Hollong and Fern Trees, Pine, Silver Fir, White Bamboo, lichens, and orchids among others is highly enjoyable. The 6 days itinerary offers all and the exclusivity of the journey lets you witness incredible species of birds in every turn and also animals like the Clouded Leopard which cannot be seen anywhere else in the country.

Day 1: Ziro Valley from Naharlagun Station
The journey begins with your arrival in Guwahati and from there an overnight train to Naharlagun Railway Station. The beautiful Ziro Town is located at a distance of 100 km from Naharlagun and the closest airport to Ziro is Lilabari at 130 km. The exciting journey from Naharlagun Station takes not more than 6 hours. Located in the Lower Subansiri District of Arunachal Pradesh, Ziro is a beautiful small town once shortlisted as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. While you get to Ziro before dusk, you can spend the remaining time exploring the admirable town. Spend overnight in Ziro Town.
Day 2: Pange Valley(6,200 ft)
The journey to the Pange Valley begins from Mani Polyang, a beautiful little village of Ziro. The walk runs on an easy trail of 5 hours and covers a distance of 9 km through gradual ascents and descents. The journey today begins through the incredible Talle Valley Forest Sanctuary, while the Pange River is flowing along the trail. The short altitude gain of 700 feet makes this journey quite an easy one. The walk is extremely enjoyable and runs through the tropical rainforest comprising mostly of Bamboo and Fern Vegetation. You can also get to witness some exotic birds as you walk further to the Pange Valley Campsite. Enjoy the night in the serene ambiance of Pange Valley
Day 3: Trek from Pange Valley (6,200 ft) to Talle Valley (8,100 ft) 7 hours, 10 km.
The next step in the journey is the outstanding Talle Valley at a distance of 10 km which takes around 7 hours. The moderately difficult trail today is quite tiring as it is long and takes you to a height of 9,000 feet before descending down to 8,100 feet. The trail runs on the left flank of the Pange River. One hour into the journey, the trail catches an ascend for another three hours and offers astounding views of the distant Nimapema Range of Bhutan through the openings. The walk ahead leads you to the highest point of the journey, 9,000 feet and from there a descending trail through the Bamboo Forest and the villages leads you to the Talle Valley Campsite. The picturesque brilliance of the surrounding mountains is a delight. Stay the night in Talle Vally Campsite.
Day 4: Trek from Talle Valley (8,100 ft) to Pangey Valley river camp (5,250 ft) 7 hours, 10 km.
The fourth day marks the beginning of the descent towards the completion of this journey. It is a 7 hours walk today of 10 km to reach the River Camp of Pange Valley. The walk begins out of the Talle Valley following the Talle River. Tragopan Point is a notable stop in the journey today. The rich flora and fauna of the region, colorful wildflowers, and lichens, the sun rays over the valley totally makes the journey hugely enjoyable. As you walk further to reach the river camp, prepare to spend the night here.
Day 5: Pange Valley river camp (5,250 ft) to Hong village (6,480 ft) 5 hours, 7 km.
The last trekking day of the journey takes you to the incredible Hong Village, posing a striking resemblance to the European Country Side. The 5 hours walk of 7 km completes the journey. The gradual ascends and descends through the magnificence of raw nature finally leads you to Hong Village. As you reach Hong Village, you will get plenty of time to explore the village and indulge in interactive sessions with the people of the Apatani Tribe. Enjoy the final night in Hong among the Apatanis.
Day 6: Hong to Ziro
The very last day of the journey leads you to Ziro Town and successfully marks the completion of the journey. Ziro is around 4 km away from Hong and takes not more than 25 minutes on a drive. As you reach Ziro, you can choose to spend the night here after exploration of the town or you can head back to Naharlagun railway station to get to your hometown.
Day 7: Departure
This is the last day of the expedition. You can check out by 12 pm and depart towards your hometown until we meet on our next expedition.
