Kalindikhal

All my life, I have been hugely inspired by the idea of traveling and trekking and along these years of my life I did attempt and completed some of the really beautiful trekking routes in the country. While some have rewarded me with astounding views of grand peaks, some have also bewildered me with the raw elegance of nature. Trekking adventure packs a lot of adventure and thrill and I a journey you are not only limited to witness some amazing sights but also you get to explore the region and walk on some really thrilling trails.

Kalindikhal Trek

Uttarakhand is still my favorite destination for trekking as it has a number of stupendous trails perfectly crafted to deliver the best of trekking experience. My journey to Kalindikhal Pass was incredible and the total walk gifted me with some really fascinating memories.

Though Uttarakhand is quite popular for the likes of Haridwar, Rishikesh, Kedarnath, and Badrinath but the trekking trails around Uttarakhand are extremely enticing as well. My journey to Kalindikhal took me through the diverse beauty of nature, and the camping spots were excellent. I was also blessed with an incredible sight of the Gangotri Glacier Snout, Gaumukh, and I even witnessed the grandeur of the Shivling Peak as well. Alakananda Valley and the serenity of Vasu Ki Tal was truly mesmerizing.

Over the first few days of the journey, I explored and traveled to the most popular regions of Uttarakhand, Rishikesh, Uttarkashi, and Gangotri. My trekking did not begin as long as I was in Gangotri Town, but my time in Rishikesh and Uttarkashi was marvelous. I tried my hand in some of the best adventure sports in Rishikesh like river rafting and bungee jumping. While I was in Uttarkashi, the temples and ashrams and their religious practices and traditions provided me with an unforgettable spiritual upliftment. The artistic setting of Gangotri town was in every way perfect and a treat to the eyes.

From Gangotri, I started with my highly anticipated journey towards Bhojwasa, my first campsite. The five hours journey filled my heart with unlimited joy and the surrounding sights were effortlessly beautiful. The majestic Himalayas and the gushing Bhagirathi were the prime attractions in the walk. Camping ground was truly mesmerizing in the laps of raw nature. My following day’s walk to Nandanvan was one of the best. It was a relishing walk and once I was there in the campsite, I was totally overwhelmed with the surrounding. The calmness of the endless grounds, and the enchanting sights of Mt. Shivling, Bhagirathi Ranges, and Mt. Sudarshan was remarkable. It was a canvas to awe at.

Next day I was all prepared to walk to the most captivating campsite of the whole journey. Vasu Ki Tal is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places filled with the inexhaustible charm of mother nature. The incredible setting of the lake with the astonishing sights of Mt. Satopnath and Vasu Ki Parvat in the backdrop was marvelous. From there I went to Khara Patthar the next day, and the destination was no short of beauty either.

Though the past days have been quite hectic I was all geared up and prepared for my walk to Kalindikhal Base. To reach the Kalindikhal Pass I had to stay a night in the Kalindikhal Base and I spent the entire day witnessing the beauty of the place.

The most important of my journey was walking to Kalindikhal Pass. I knew the walk will be tough and hectic but I had to witness the enthralling sight. Through the rough terrain over moraines and scree, I covered the 12 km journey to reach the top of the pass. The panoramic brilliance of the surrounding was picturesque, the place was gleaming with its own glory, and I was totally dumbfounded to witness this. From there I descended down to Raja Parav, my campsite for the night.

Over the next 4 days, I traveled to some other fascinating destinations before concluding the journey. Places like Ghastoli and Arwatal was truly beautiful and crafted by nature, while Badrinath was of its own caliber. Finally, through Joshimath, I landed back in Rishikesh and put a final end to the journey.

It was a cherishing journey combined with the best of nature and the thrilling journey was perfectly crafted to reward me with the most admiring experience.
